Please join us for a roundtable discussion about the impact of structural inequities on Illinoisan’s life course across the state and to explore a new strategic action plan and vision for aging equity in Illinois. This roundtable is hosted by Health & Medicine Policy Research Group and its Center for Long Term Care Reform.
Health & Medicine is convening Illinois Aging Together, a campaign seeking to have the State of Illinois demonstrate a new level of commitment to supporting Illinois’ increasing aging population, supporting families and caregivers, and supporting equitable aging across people’s lives. We want to put aging in the forefront instead of as an afterthought through a new strategic action plan for aging equity that includes every Illinois State agency and every sector.
During this roundtable, we will facilitate a discussion looking at the aging process through the social determinants of health and the structural and systemic inequities that have and continue to create barriers to equity, justice, and a good quality of life for many Illinoisans. We will share information about this campaign for aging equity, and ways to become involved. We hope you will join us to share your insight and vision to help elevate this initiative across the state and build momentum for the Illinois Aging Together, A Statewide Movement for Aging Equity.
